HIGH HOLY DAYS SCHEDULE OF SERVICES

WHERE WILL YOU BE SPENDING THE HIGH HOLY DAYS - 5772?

It’s hard to imagine the leaves turning colors and the days and evenings beginning to cool…especially now that summer is really (finally!) here. But, as we know, the summer will be over before we "blink" and autumn will be upon us. Again, we will find ourselves preparing for the holiest days on the Jewish calendar – Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur – this sacred time when Jewish communities will gather as they have for centuries seeking the experience of holiness through individual reflection, repentance, meditation, study, music and prayer.

This year B’nai Or of Boston is honored to announce that one of our “own” – Reb Lea-h Campolo – will be leading our High Holy Day Services. Throughout Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, Reb Lea-h will create a joyful and contemplative atmosphere using traditional and innovative prayer, meditation, beloved traditional High Holiday melodies, shofar blowing, movement and study. We look forward to her heartfelt stories, wisdom of thought and study, meaningful ritual and the wonderful opportunities she will provide to help us deepen our commitment to Jewish mitzvot (good deeds); tzedakah (charity) and tikkun olam (repair of the world).

In addition to a full schedule of programs for children, we are also pleased to announce that Rabbi Lev Baesh (former rabbi of B’nai Or and now a Nursing student) along with the talented and fun singer songwriter, Sue Horowitz, will be leading a Family High Holy Day Service on Rosh Hashanah and another on Yom Kippur. Check the SCHEDULE for times.

Reb Lea-h will be assisted by Aleph cantorial student, Joan Cooke, other B’nai Or rabbis and service leaders, and the B’nai Or band, Selah!
